Welcome to Sojourn Church
We are a community of Jesus followers seeking to do life and mission together by loving God and loving others
Our Mission
To Glorify God by believing, belonging, and blessing our neighbors and the nations
Our Gathering
They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
- Acts 2:42
As we pray and prepare to launch a Sunday morning gathering, we are currently meeting in homes for fellowship, food, prayer, worship, and Bible study. In this way, our current set up looks a lot like the earliest churches who gathered in homes to celebrate the resurrection and follow Jesus together.
We also have a monthly interest meeting for anyone wanting to learn more about Sojourn church.
We’d love to have you join us for either of these gatherings. To learn more, email info@sojournprinceton.com or text or call 469-936-0177
Our Story
The name Sojourn reminds us that we are not home yet. We are people in process, people in the in-between. In-between death and life, stress and rest, hardship and healing, sadness and unfading joy. In a reality where we often experience death, stress, hardship, and sadness; the gospel changes everything. It invites us – God invites us – into his life, his rest, his healing, and his unfading joy.
Sojourn was born out of a deep love for God’s people in the local church, but it was also born out of a discontent with what church for many had become. This led to a renewed desire and dream to see God’s people live and love like Jesus. The church isn’t just like a family. It is a family. And that makes all the difference. May we sojourn together as a spiritual family, seeking the good of our communities and neighbors, and looking forward to the kingdom that is here and yet to come.
All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen and welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of that country which they left, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
- Heb. 11:13-16
